The “GazChai” boutique (Tea Gasgoldernaya) recently added a few new paintings to its art collection. Especially for the boutique owner Andrey Zuckerberg and other tea lovers, artist Alexey Klokov has created a series of graphic artworks. The series’ uniqueness is that besides traditional art materials (paper and paint), the artist used the most expensive sort of tea, literally decorating the images.
In his approach to painting, Alexey follows his legendary teacher Anatoly Zverev, who used to create his masterpieces with any materials he had at hand — toothpaste, jam, cigarette butts … as well as with any available tools — a knife, a broom, a shoe … Remaining faithful to his teacher, Alexey Klokov is also convinced that “art has no limits, but only our own mind”.
